SIMULIA has an opening for an Industry Process Expert (Structures), a highly skilled and motivated candidate to join their Transportation & Mobility (T&M) Industry team in the Industry Process Success (IPS) organization. You will support customer deployment and services of T&M solutions IPEs as well as develop new methodologies to maintain and expand existing workflows using SIMULIA’s structural modeling solutions. #3DSINDIALAB
What will your job be?
As a member of the SIMULIA Industry Process Success, Transportation & Mobility Group, you will be responsible for performing Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) simulations. These include, but are not limited to Structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Boundary Element Analysis simulations.
You will validate the latest features in SIMULIA’s structural & durability analysis software, developing new technical solutions of interest to the automotive industry, solving challenging problems, and supporting vehicle development projects.
Use of all of SIMULIA’s software and other Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools to develop and support workflows that leverage SIMULIA’s Multi-physics, multi-scale simulation technologies.
You will report to the SIMULIA IPS T&M Industry Process Expert Director of Vehicle Exteriors and will be based in Pune, India. The Challenges ahead
You will work with the leading global automotive and heavy vehicle companies and help them solve challenging problems related to Body Engineering.
Communicate with customers, providing expert technical support for structural applications. You will also collaborate with members of the group, technical account teams, and the product development teams within the company.
Your key success factors
Candidates with experience in non-linear structural analysis, numerical methods, body durability, fluid-structure interactions, or material strength and durability are especially encouraged to apply.

• PhD or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of structural analysis fundamentals, with 5-7 years of experience applying fundamentals to solve practical engineering problems in the Transportation and Mobility industry. Candidates with more years of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply for the position.
• Expert knowledge and experience using 3DEXPERIENCE platform for both design and simulation is desired but not necessary
• Expertise using commercial FEA and other CAE tools as well as CAD and geometry meshing software. Knowledge of Abaqus is desired.
• Script programming and knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Python and MATLAB is desired.
• Strong English verbal/written communication skills and good presentation skills.
• Excellent problem solving skills and a desire for continuous learning.
• Ability to apply these skills cooperatively in a challenging, fast-paced environment on a team with experienced professionals.

Additional Highly-Desired Skills:

• Experience in strength and durability applications in automotive or heavy vehicle industry.
• Multi-disciplinary, multi-physics problem solving, including structural analysis, vehicle dynamics, vehicle noise & vibration, thermal management and/or aero-acoustics.
