Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank’s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels

Responsibilities

To ensure following the Procurement policies and Standards set by the group for DBS
To ensure excellent value for money in the supply of goods and services and minimizing the Group’s exposure to supply risks. Deliver Savings for DBS, basis the KPI
To build and align relationships with service providers/vendor partners in accordance to the policies and business goals of DBS
To ensure that accuracy, timelines and integrity of all procurement and corporate services transactions are maintained at bank standards
To foster relationships with and partner with Technology Units and other support units on business specific sourcing requirements
To ensure Projects are dealt with utmost integrity and within timelines. All the other adhoc projects should be completed as per the timelines
To have Zero Ethical violations of any sorts

Requirement

At least 10 years of Relevant Experience
Sourcing and selection of suppliers/service providers (both IT & non-IT & CRESA/Real Estate), contract negotiation/renewal/management/governance; vendor performance and relationship management
Enforce set policies are followed in outsourcing activities
Work diligently on Procurement/Payment/Invoice Transaction services to ensure compliance to process and control guidelines
Plan activities to deliver quality service to internal & external customers
Maintain excellent working and professional relationship with existing and potential suppliers or service providers for the best prices and market information
To serve and delight direct/indirect customers well and find the best solution for them within the boundaries of their responsibilities
Collaborates to win and build productive partnerships with customers and colleagues; to think strategically and articulate the connection between the work they do and DBS’s Purpose
Building trust by doing the right thing
Champion risk and control culture by understanding and proactively managing risk and appropriate controls in respective area of responsibility
Drive process improvements in the area of responsibility; Support immediate team members and help them achieve the goals as needed
Exercises responsibilities within boundaries of role and delegations by meeting key performance targets
To be a Subject Matter Expert, with regards to all the processes and sub processes of Sourcing to Pay cycle
Procurement tool to be used for the benefit of the Organization. Trainings to be given accordingly to the stakeholders by being a Subject Matter Expert of the tool
There should be zero valid audit findings as part of Internal and External audit
Communication to be assertive across stakeholders/vendors with a goal of resolving things through various available means in line with GPS Standards and Guidelines.
To be flexible to initiate and complete new/adhoc professional powerpoint presentations as and when required
Operational Discipline to be adhered as set by the team leader’s
Maintain records for audit purposes basis the relevancy
To have MIS reporting in place with prospective data analysis done on timely basis
