Education Required B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical / Automobile).

Experience Required 3 – 7 Years

Key Roles & Responsibilities: (Skills Set Required)–

Working on BIW Sheet metal Structures & Closures for New & ongoing product, development/Engineering change management.

To understand the Customer requirements, Studio styling criteria and manufacturing requirements like stamping, Hemming, welding, inspection etc and develop 3D CAD models

Design and development of BIW Sheet metal Structures & Closures from concept to final design as per the design requirements.

Developing B & C surface from Class A surface and designing required flange, attachment features, welding features. Design of BIW systems which includes inner & outer panels of A,B,C pillars, Doors (Closures), Hood, Tail gate/Deck/Trunk Lid, Body Side, Under body components, Front end module, Roof panel, Fenders, Sash brackets, Supporting brackets etc.

Participating in design review meetings and provide solutions.

Identification and resolution of design related issues during development till release.

Releasing CAD data to using Team center & WERS (Worldwide engineering release system)

DPA (Digital pre assembly) checks on packaging components.

Ongoing Product Development/Engineering Change Management: Working on OEM Release

process which includes design change and assembly level updates checking Drawings (GD&T

Coordinate with Team Leads, Project Managers and Onsite Engineers and execute the

Activities. Demonstrate good customer and cross functional relationships.

Critical Skill Sets (Technical) Tool Software Skill

Candidate should have Working Experience on BIW Structure & closure components using Catia V5.Sound knowledge in packaging study and master section creation. Design product to cost targets.

Candidates should be Capable of executing the activities within the agreed timeline.

Knowledge in benchmarking and cost reduction, prototyping, manufacturing and assembly processes of BIW.

Good understanding of GD&T.
