Principal Software Engineer
We are looking for talented, driven, self-starter individuals to join our Telco Systems Business unit engineering team. This role requires a demonstrated ability to develop solutions, test, and deliver to the Tier-1 Telco market for Dell’s telco products and solutions offerings.
About business unit and team

• TSB creates products and solutions catering for the worldwide telecommunications market, which is exploding with new and exciting opportunities made possible by new developments such as 5G, Internet of Things, and virtualized radio access networks (RANs). The market consists of communication service providers, managed service providers, hosting companies, content delivery network companies, cloud service providers, and consumer/enterprise web-technology providers.
• The ecosystem solution engineering team is responsible for partnering, creating and delivering telco solutions with ecosystem partners for telco customers. The team works closely with a world-class product and partner management team in defining and roadmapping the offerings. Together, we have a strong track record of creating unique value for Dell Technologies, with a robust and positive impact on its bottom line. The engineering team works closely with key service provider customers worldwide, which, taken together, represent about 70% of the market. Collaboratively, we create production-worthy offerings that are unique, cutting-edge, and shape this emerging market. What you’ll achieve as a Principal Software Engineer,

• Implementation and delivery of Microservices using Agile methodologies
• Key player in the complete software life cycle from requirements leading to design, development and testing in CI/CD frameworks
• Ownership of components,work with extended teams, project management & partners to drive integration and better application integration; to define PoCs leading to eventual productization

• Utilizing your subject matter expertise, you will design integration, verification, and automation test strategies for the end to end 5G mobile network ensuring delivery of high-quality product releases
• Demonstrate the ability to work and thrive in fast paced virtual development environment

Essential Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of HTTP and SOCKET based communication; Authentication and authorization; RESTAPI.

• Experience in programming languagesGolang, Python3, databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Expertise in framework development using Django, Django rest framework, aiohttp, FastAPI and exposure to Apache, Lighttpd, Runserver, Nginx
• Working experience on Docker, Kubernetes, including code packaging and test-driven development, CI/CD process, continuous testing, agile development with Jira/GitHub/Jenkins/Collaborator or similar platforms
• Candidate is expected to have strong performance tuning, debugging, triaging and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Server BMC (baseboard mgmt controller) access using interfaces such as Redfish, WSMAN, Dells iDRAC, BIOS or lifecycle controller access & settings

• Technical understanding of the core hardware elements of an enterprise data center (i.e. compute, networking, and storage)

Desirable Requirements

• B.E./B. Tech/ MCA with at least 8-12 years of experience or M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science with similar experience
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, design and implementation in containerized services, experienced in Asynchronous/Background task management in web application

• Strong common open-source tools / platforms, and Linux expertise
• Excellent Communication skills written and oral
