Senior Test Engineer

We’re a team of expert engineers responsible for the development of all test cases and test tools to ensure the functionality and compatibility of our products. We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will develop and document test plans for newly developed or current hardware and solutions products. You will partner with a test team during test execution and report results to development engineers and leadership. You will also create test plans that include resource requirements based on inputs from Development and Marketing. Finally, you will work with external validation partners to develop comprehensive test plans and test coverage across multiple test organizations.

You will:

• Define and implements new test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage

• Implement a continuous improvement process for test plans, test cases, and automation during and after test projects

• Evaluate effectiveness of test plan and assess test methodologies to reduce test time and increase test coverage

• Communicate and partner with test technicians in the execution of test plans

• Manage use of automation and test tools and identify opportunities for process improvement where possible, and develop and execute test automation scripts

Essential Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of related experience

• Solid understanding of hardware and software system architecture and interactions and should be able to apply it to resolve issues

• Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets

• Demonstrable knowledge of Power Shell scripting

• Demonstrable knowledge of testing on Windows operating systems

• Should be able to write Test cases, Plan and Execute Test Strategies independently

• Should have exposure to collect various test metrics and use the data to contribute to quality releases

Desirable Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge of testing on Multiple OS environments such as Windows/Linux operating systems

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker

• Experience with Virtual Machine environments

• Experience working in AGILE (Scrum, Kanban)

• Experience with the Atlassian tool stack

• Expert knowledge on GIT, integrating automation scripts with CI/CD pipeline

• Exposure to STLC (Software Test Life Cycle), Testing Concepts (Black Box testing, System Testing, Acceptance Testing, Regression testing, Stress testing, Performance testing, etc.)
