Senior Purchasing Analyst Our products drive human progress. Our Purchasing team drives the progress of our supply systems. We lead strategic and operational commodity teams, while developing supplier strategy, long-range plans and the optimization of the global supply chain. Our remit includes setting delivery performance goals and implementing procurement initiatives and process improvements. We also oversee the planning and obtaining of materials, components, equipment and services for all parts of the business, including checking requisitions, developing new supply sources and ensuring best quality at best value from third parties. What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Purchasing Analyst, you will plan and obtain materials and services for all parts of the business, working with manufacturing and engineering departments on coordinating purchasing activities and maintaining inventory at planned levels.
You will:

• Create and run Ariba RFx for Indirect Procurement categories, including live auctions
• Prepare RFx materials (including but not limited to Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals, and Requests for Quotations) based on assessment of business need, incorporating supplier industry norms, and industry best practices for medium- and high-complexity transactions.
• Gather requirements, comprehending technical specifications, and providing support for the RFx and eAuction processes
• Manage the process of competitive bidding, via the RFx, and supports sourcing with supplier analysis, by identifying suggested preferred suppliers, pricing models, and partnership opportunities based on industry knowledge and primary information from suppliers.
• Recommend based on RFx outputs analysis from suppliers, using industry best practice approaches and balancing business and financial needs.
• Oversees RFx process using an ESourcing tool, ensuring that suppliers have adequate instruction and technical support. Recommends process improvements to the manager.

  Essential Requirements

• Graduate degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of business experience. Previous data administration experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently, and to handle workload changes and tight deadlines. Project experienced preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of current versions of Microsoft Office.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with Ariba preferred.
