Job Title- Payments Processing Analyst

Role Description

• The Payments Processing Analyst is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all types of payments including processing of physical cash/valuables, as well as the handling of cash related investigations.

• This includes the processing of time-critical, complex transactions on behalf of the bank’s internal and external clients, cash-related investigations involving enquiries from clients and internal stakeholders on cash payments before and after execution.

• It often involves time critical, potentially complex or in some cases regulated tasks including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

• The Payments Processing Analyst undertakes the complete and accurate capturing of payment transactions including physical cash/valuables transactions.

• Ensuring that all payment-related information and relevant parties are processed according to established Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and industry guidelines.

• In addition, they should ensure that procedures are properly executed to reduce processing risk and identify potential areas for process improvement whether internally within the bank or for our client

• Ensure that all regulatory reports are prepared, verified and submitted within the required timelines.
  
• Ensure all EOD of the day reports are sent accurately as per SLA and as per the control process established.

• This is an important position from the BAU prospective for meeting the SLA and Regulatory timelines.

• This function requires adherence to local regulatory policies and changing regulatory frame work. Risk – In situation of Non approval/ replacement for the PERM, this could further lead to potential client and reputational impact with delay in producing the desired output

Your skills and experience

• Communicate and coordinate with all internal functions/stakeholders such as Client, Client facing team, Sales and Relationship Managers etc.
• Continually seek ways to improve the process and journey by leveraging on feedback
• Knowledge of Capital Markets would be beneficial
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (Project Management experience is a plus)
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and understanding of new developments in the financial services market
