Responsibilities:

DWS is looking to hire a Credit Analyst in its US Investment Grade credit research group, who will be responsible for supporting the coverage of US companies issuing USD denominated debt, across non-Financials sector, with a specific focus on investment grade issuers/bonds issued by Industrials companies.

Responsibilities include:

• Support senior research analysts based in New York with focus on specific sectors.
• Maintaining the credit coverage for senior analysts in NY by tracking company news, earnings, maintaining their models, analysing their corporate events (like new issuance, bond redemptions, buybacks etc) etc.
• Writing succinct credit reports on companies under coverage that provide clear recommendations to its users (mainly portfolio managers)
• Keeping the credit coverage up to date within internal platforms through regular credit surveillance, watchlist credit reviews and other such tasks as maybe assigned by the NY analysts
• Tracking, collecting and analyzing economic, market, industry/sector, and company and bond market data of importance.
• Analyzing prospectuses to determine structure and covenants of new and secondary issues.
• Summarizing company meetings, sell-side presentation and earnings conference calls.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with post-graduate degree in Engineering, Finance or Economics with up to 6 years of experience in the financial and credit markets. The ideal candidate should have following skill sets:

• Strong understanding of credit risk and company fundamental analysis. Prior experience in looking at relative valuation techniques will be an advantage
• Prior experience in covering the Industrials sector will be an added advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write succinct reports providing clear recommendations
• Understanding of ESG concepts and merging it with fundamental analysis.
• Hands-on knowledge of using various market databases like Bloomberg, Capital IQ etc
• Evaluate complex written documentation. Analyze and assess corporate and financial structures, covenants and other terms is a pre-requisite.
• Ability to track as well as understand the impact of various macro economic data and apply those into company models as well as recommendations
