DHL Express, Inc. Hiring for Test Engineer at Chennai, India Full Time

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Test Engineer, you will help to deliver successful products to our users while ensuring top quality throughout the stages of product development.

You will be part of team who is responsible for development and maintenance of one of the most critical platform within DHL. It is DCG Financial Framework which is a self-onboarding EDI gateway serving to transfer financial data between DHL and customers (Global Invoicing Service) based mostly in java. The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, self-directed, team player and most of all passionate to resolve new challenging task.

Team is dealing with various projects e.g. development of new features in the application, upgrade of EOSL components, removing security vulnerabilities, migration from legacy systems as well as product maintenance with 3rd level support. We are planning to start with the cloudification of the system in 2023. All the project need to be well tested and therefore we are looking for a Tester to join our team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Analyze requirements’ complexity and impact to test execution.

• Create Test Cases to test new features and re-test existing functionalities within DCG Fin FW.

• Conduct test analysis and design.

• Evaluate automation potential and define setup for automation.

• Execute manual and automated test cases.

• Execute regression test scripts.

• Record and document results and compare them to expected results.

• Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.

• Document anomalies and issues.

• Perform reviews, walkthroughs.

• Communicate with developers, consultants and project manager.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• A Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Technology or Economics.

• Tester with minimum 1-2 years of experience.

• Execution of planned test cases, ensuring that all test results are correctly recorded.

• Preparation of quality assessments, reports, and metrics based on test progress and defect status.

• Presenting test improvements and developments in daily progress meetings.

• Knowledge of structured test methods and processes.

• Knowledge of both Manual and Automated Testing approaches.

• Experience with manual and automated integration testing.

• Ability to quickly understand:

• Overview of billing processes in DP DHL and FinFw role.

• Fin FW configuration to set up the required invoice flows.

• Necessary to be able to work independently and have analytical thinking.

Nice to have:

• Experience with any kind of invoicing process and in finance field.

• Knowledge of any invoicing standards/formats.

• Experience with manual update of input files for testing purposes (XML, Flat file…).

• Experience with running linux scripts and command line.

• Ability to read logs and basic commands.

• It would be an advantage to have a basic knowledge of Oracle and Java.

• Tools: Jira, Git, Jenkins, OpenShift.

• Skills: Linux (bash), SQL (Oracle DB), Web Services, XML/JSON.

• Experience working in Agile team.

• Fluent English is a must (both spoken and written).
