The Digital Fulfillment Center is a critical component in enabling Dow’s Digital Strategy and in accelerating the Demand Planning to Fulfillment Program to drive customer and employee experience. The center is located in the corporate headquarters campus and will include a blend of resources across the DP2F domains (Plan, Make, Order, Deliver, Invoice), I/S, and Diamond Systems Solutions and collaborate closely with other key functions. The Digital Fulfillment Center houses personnel with expertise in planning & fulfillment, SC process automation, customer experience, design & modify supply chain, site logistics, analytics & reporting, enterprise architecture, emerging digital technologies, and other areas. This multidisciplinary team facilitate rapid prototyping of new capabilities to enhance the competitive position of Dow’s DP2F processes. In alignment with the digital transformation strategy , Dow’s digital centers provides digital capability across the value chain.

This center have an entrepreneurial mindset powered by cross-industry experience, employee diversity, and multiple disciplines – business process optimization, user experience design, agile methodologies, analytics, mobile applications, and emerging IT innovation. About You

You will lead and support Supply Chain design project activities that will focus on maximizing business value growth, economic profit, cash flow and customer service through improvements in supply chain costs, capital investment, asset utilization, productivity and quality. You will be critical in increasing understanding and use of advanced digital technology throughout the company’s SC Design process while creating competitively advantaged intellectual property. This role requires business acumen, technical competence, and excellent relationships to deliver against organizational priorities while creating technical solutions with enabled value.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Use of advanced techniques, such as optimization, simulation, data mining, statistical analysis and mathematical modeling, to develop solutions that help businesses and organizations operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.

• Gather relevant quantitative and qualitative information by extracting data from databases and engaging with business partners

• Interpret data, identify relevant analyses, and develop models and/or reports with the goal of providing actionable insights that support the business area

• Design and implement IT architecture needed to automate current manual processes.

• Design, develop, and deliver analytic models, findings, and reports for the purpose of quantifying the performance of business areas and evaluating operational changes

• Build relationships and consult with all levels of internal business partners including executives, managers, business users, and developers

Technical Skills Required:

• Experience and proficiency in using Llamasoft/Coupa/Supply Chain Guru and/or other tools in SC network optimization and simulation.

• Broad SC functional skills in supply chain planning, inventory management/replenishment, transportation, and risk management

• Experience with querying big data stores: (Hive, Drill, Hadoop)

• Experience and proficiency working with big data and large relational databases (Teradata, Hadoop, SQL Server, etc.)

• Proficiency in developing reports using data visualization platforms (PowerBI and Tableau preferred, JavaScript, etc.)

• Strong programming/data processing experience (including the use of statistical software such as SAS, Python, R, etc.), in context of deriving analytic insights and performance measurement

• Experience with developing data science web applications using tools like R Shiny is a plus.

Other Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Robust analytics background; modeling/statistical/advanced analytics experience highly valued

• Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated ability to trouble shooting and solve problems; ability to “tell a story” with data

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of stakeholders

• Ability to explain and relate technical concepts to business leaders; additionally, the ability to transform business issues into analytical models

• Ability to creatively take on new challenges and work outside comfort zone

• Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

• Knowledge of programming structures, principles, and practices

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree OR relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.

• For U.S. only: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree discipline in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

• Demonstrated skill and experience in modeling, optimization, simulation, automation, (artificial intelligence and machine learning is a plus)

• 3 years of experience applying the required skills for this role

• Ability to take independent actions and influence events to achieve results
