About you and this role:

As a Senior Controllers Coordinator, you will work closely with other sub-functions in the Fixed assets organization to deliver exceptional service to customers and maintain profitability for Dow. Fixed Asset Senior Controllers Coordinator is responsible providing consistent superior accounting support for Dow’s fixed asset accounting.

Responsibilities – Accounting for Fixed Asset activity:

• Support Fixed asset accounting operations. Review Capital Authorization requests and ensure correct classification of Capital vs Expense as per accounting policy. Follow-up with Project Manager and ensure timely resolution of queries.

• Support Fixed Asset Accountant for month close activities. Check Capitalized Interest applicability for capital projects. Perform project maintenance / update for all capital & expense project.

• Monitor functional mailbox and allocate received requests to team members

• Perform above set of operational processes under a moderate degree of supervision. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures

• Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions. Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.

Education:

• Bachelor of Commerce

• MBA preferred

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in GL accounting/Fixed Asset Accounting

• Strong SAP experience

• Relevant fixed asset accounting experience preferred

Skills, Competencies:

• Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments. High aptitude for accounting

• Working experience of SAP system. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

• Good communication skills. Analytical skills. Fluent in English (written and verbal)
