Job Scope/ Purpose:

• Educational Qualifications: M.Sc in Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/Pharmacy or related field or M. Pharma.
• Years of experience: 0-1 years.
• Good knowledge of naming reactions & functional group.
• Good knowledge of molarity, normality, equivalency.
• Practical experience in thin-layer chromatography, column purification, crystallization, distillation and extraction.
• Good understanding of NMR, IR and mass spectrometry.
• Synthesis, purification, and characterization of chemical intermediates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively in a team to drive chemistry projects forward. To fully understand the project scope.
• To observe and record observations meticulously in Lab Notebook.
• To share and discuss observations and data with supervisor.
• To provide scientific inputs during the course of the project.
• To support scale-up batches with diligent observations, recording and updating the supervisor.
• To be independent in maintaining their fume cupboards, setting up experiments and planning analysis.
• In-depth, hands-on expertise and up-to-date knowledge of a wide range of organic chemistry. transformations including theoretical mechanistic understanding.
• Learning agility in the utilisation of new laboratory technologies and approaches to support chemistry projects.
• Deliver new routes and processes for starting materials, intermediates and APIs to enable scale-up and supply from Kilo-Labs, pilot scale and manufacturing.
