Functional Manager POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION

• Responsible for inspection of incoming materials, materials in process and finished products and ensuring that they meet all the specified quality standards. b) Ensure that the product consistency and quality is maintained right from procurement of raw materials to finished goods. c) To ensure all relevant tests are conducted on products to enhance consumer satisfaction.
• Coordination with various functions ( Production, Purchase, Maintenance, Warehouse , System, EHS etc)and

achieve Quality excellence to meet Customer’s requirement through developing, implementing, and maintaining a

system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products, Raw material & development processes.

• Strive for Quality excellence in the workplace to improve customer satisfaction, increase the output in

manufacturing while minimizing defects, as well as making the company more profitable.

• Comply with all applicable legal requirements of the sites. JOB SUMMARY:
• Responsible for managing QA functions to assure that the raw material, in process and finished products confirms to the quality specifications
• To perform in-process quality checks at various stages of Raw Material and Packaging Material (for Std,Printed & thermal), Manufacturing and dispatch (S1/S2/S3/thermal)
• QA overview for receipt of material from warehouse to production.
• Coordinates product testing processes & participates in product testing.
• Responsible for handling customer audits for system and product
• Support for handling complaints
• To investigate the cause of any non conformance and its corrective / preventive action – including use of Quality tools
• To ensure compliance of SOPs i) Supplier Improvement – track the rejection of material throughout the process to communicate with supplier and action recommendation with help of purchase team
• Visit to RM supplier for audit & development in co-ordination with Purchase team
• Deviation Control (if required) considering internal & external customer’s requirement & maintain the data for the same. l) Verify all quality check for traded material and communicate with warehouse team . m) Responsible for handling inspections from government authorities like Railways, RITES and other system and functional audits

• Span of control : InDirect – 3 GENERAL CONTEXT:
• Technical : Specialized products & processes, hence require internal training on the job for the operating personnel
• r.t. product quality based on GMP,do’s & don’t, Q-Alert, SOP, etc.
• Environmental : The processes generate VOC & waste w.r.t. quality testing – need to train operating personnel
• r.t. disposal which should meet legal requirement
• Commercial : Collaborate with Sourcing team in development of new supplier w.r.t. lowering of Raw material cost

without compromising on quality

• Manpower : Optimization Skill of QA Operator to meet internal & external customer’s requirements
• Markets : Help to Marketing/ R&D w.r.t. development of new product by testing quality parameters & reverse

engineering of the given product/sample

• Customer needs : Understanding customer specific requirements & tailoring products, packaging & services ACTIVITIES & END PURPOSES:

BSc, MSc (Chemistry) or Engineer (any) with QA experience with Minimum 6 year’s of relevant experience
