The candidates will be responsible for complete operation of the Unit. He has to act as profit center head, provide overall direction, and control the entire plant operations focusing on the key KPI’s on productivity, quality, cost delivery, human development and customer satisfaction.
He has to ensure the delivery of target output from the Unit at the desired budgeted cost, desired quality and time; drive improvements and change initiatives at the Unit level; develop the plant strategy in line with overall group strategy; be an integral part of the senior team of the group and contribute to growth plans.
To efficiently manage overall plant operations including Quality Production, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Plant Engineering, Budgeted Costs, Commercial activities, etc.
Has to lead and direct the teams to manage unionized workforce. Total employee strength of more than 2000 employees and ensure harmonious labor management relations at the unit with perfect discipline. Provide leadership direction for signing long- term agreements amicably with union.

To manage and control the budget cost and achieve targeted production.
To achieve targeted return on capital employed.
To continuously monitor project expenditure and ensure the same in in line with the budget.
Review periodically to ensure the reduction in the following costs: i. Wage / Salary Cost. ii. Power and Fuels Cost. iii. Stores and Spares Cost.
Review and control the % of scrap generated in the process.
To develop talent within the team by providing consistent direction and support to achieve stretch targets and take leadership positions.
To retain and engage the talent employed and build a collaborative and high performance team.
To acquire the best of talent in the industry.
Ensure the availability of conductive working environment and take suitable measure to as to increase the Employee Satisfaction Score (ESS).
Motivate people to participate in programs such as Quality Circles, Suggestion Schemes, 5S, Kaizen, etc.
Continuous feedback and communication with the team members and periodical review their performance.
Close interaction with Union for achieving the desired level of Productivity and maintaining cordial Industrial Relations.
Provide leadership so as to build and sustain a well motivated team with high morale, including the following:
Adequate level of intra-department and inter-department teamwork.
Requisite level of discipline.
Healthy union relations.
Proper selection, induction and training of labor at all levels.
Provide leadership direction to develop proactive and harmonious Industrial Relations. Manage external and internal environment from a people perspective to ensure the smooth functioning of the plant operations.
Drive cultural change in plant through effective collaboration with business leaders so as to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives and Build strong network with government, local administration and local influencers Cont.d
Mentor and coach for senior management team on people and IR practices. Coach senior leaders and line managers on IR management and future challenges.
Be an expert in creating a robust, futuristic, scalable, integrated and competitive workforce planning which enables organization efficiency, higher employee productivity, clear communication etc.
Represent organization at professional bodies, employer forums and suggest policy changes (if required).
Motivate the entire unit team to score the highest customer satisfaction in case of OE customers
To put in place systems and processes to achieve ‘Customer Centricity’ as a key value across all levels of the organization.
To measure ‘Customer Delight’ quotient on an ongoing basis sand use the quotient as an important variable while rewarding performance.
Take all necessary actions to improve the customer satisfactions and establish the system of periodical feedback of the customer.
