Essential Job Functions

1. Installing a Guest Operating System in a Virtual Machine

2.• Installing VMware Tools in the Guest Operating System

3. Configuring a Virtual Machine to Use the LSI Logic SCSI Adapter

4. Extend the Virtual Machine Disk Using GUI or command line.

5.Installation and configuration of ESX on Blade and standalone servers. Configure DRS cluster.

6. • Configuring ESXi Network (Vmkernel, Vmotion, Virtual Machine network) • Gathering the storage/network requirement and approaching the respective team

7• Creating/Extending data store of SAN/NAS

8• Configuring the /iDRAC/AMM/ILO for Dell/IBM/HP stand alone server

9. Creating initial support accounts additional user accounts

10.Physical to Virtual Migration for the Servers (P2V) •

11.Virtual to Virtual Migration for the Servers (V2V) •

12. Virtual to Physical Migration for the Servers (V2P) •

13.Host activities like putting host to maintenance/start/reboot/shutdown/add host to cluster.
