• Eaton’s Center for Sustainability is looking for highly motivated individuals who is passionate about environment and has strong inclination towards Sustainability domain.

• The Engineer will be providing technical support for compliance (chemical regulations) and design for environment for Eaton’s broad portfolio of FMC products for Aerospace.

• This work will help business across the enterprises solve regulations & environmental problems, support new & existing business through product compliance and create sustainability value propositions to gain additional business opportunities.

Qualifications:

Requirement:

• Bachelors or Masters’ degree in Environmental science or Chemical/Mechanical/ Electronics /Electricals engineering

• Bachelor’s with 3-5 years’ experience or Masters with 1-3 years’ of progressive experience in the areas of product compliance domain ,Product or technology development for Industrial, Electrical/Electronics or Chemical products or process

• Basic understanding of eco-design during product design cycle – carbon footprint calculation, LCA, circularity and various global Directives/Regulations related to eco-design

• Responsible for providing support to Aerospace FMC business on existing and new product development and engineering services in the field of compliance.

• Understand customer requirements and communicate them to other Eaton teams, and act as the liaison for program activities as appropriate.

• Closely monitor activities and provide regular updates to team and stakeholder on the overall achievements on projects.

• Provides support to lead engineer in regards to resolution of issues related to product compliance and work closely with cross functional teams like SCM, Mfg and Sales.

• Support technical aspects of projects including DfE Specifications

• Synergies and leverages engineering capabilities across groups.

• Champions continuous process improvements to support the Eaton Business System

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in the field of compliance / Product Stewardship

• Deep dive Knowledge on REACH, RoHS, TSCA & Prop65 and other applicable regulations and it’s impact on product and technology

• Working knowledge of compliance platforms like IMDS, CDX , SAP/EHSM, Enovia etc. will be added advantage.

• Ability to analyses regulations & interpret technical data that can be effectively communicated to product and technology teams

• Experience collaborating with local / global suppliers for compliance related activities.

• Experience in supporting projects with multiple stakeholders in matrix organization and project management experience is required

• Aware of upcoming environmental regulations, trends, and methodologies

• Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts
