Eaton Corporation Hiring for Lead Engineer – Cybersecurity (eMobility) at Hadapsar Pune, India Full Time

Your essential responsibilities include:

• Be a technical leader to drive Secure Product Development processes across all eMobility projects.

• Provide interface between Eaton and External Customers for the Cybersecurity activities.

• Understand and interpret the Customer Cybersecurity Requirements and drive their implementation in Eaton products.

• Support in creating technical demonstrations for customer and play the role of a Cybersecurity expert and present Eaton’s Cybersecurity capabilities to the customer.

• Prepare and present Cybersecurity process documents as per customer requirements.

• Drive cybersecurity process compliance within the project team and also support in getting various products certified to external Cybersecurity standards like UL 2900, IEC 62443 or demonstrate compliance to automotive standards like ISO 21434, J3061 etc.

• Work with the technical leads in various business divisions / eMobility projects and oversee critical aspects of software, firmware and hardware cybersecurity designs and implementations.

• Internally Interface with IT and business owners to prioritize cybersecurity efforts as and when required.

• Cybersecurity Validation for different product lines and ownership of audits (if any with OEM)

• Drive the overall delivery of Cybersecurity Workpackage at each stage of the product development.

• Provide technical expertise in the selection of appropriate Hardware and Software platforms based on the Cybersecurity needs of the projects.

• Provide technical expertise into the Vendor / Supplier, Customer and other key stakeholder legal agreements to consolidate Eaton’s ability to deliver on Cybersecurity requirements.

• Provide technical coaching & mentoring to the lesser experienced Cybersecurity team members.

• Presenting key Cybersecurity related updates to Eaton leadership and key stakeholders.

• Act as Point of Contact (PoC) for all the Cybersecurity related activities for the eMobility projects, customers pursuits.

Qualifications

• Specialized degree (Masters/PhD) in any stream of security preferred.

• 8-10 years of experience

• Total experience of 8-10 years out of which at least 6-8 years of direct Cybersecurity experience.

• At least 3+ years of experience in the area of cybersecurity of Cyber physical systems especially automotive, commercial vehicle systems, electric vehicles etc. Including but not limited to deploying Secure design principles in Product development, Cybersecurity testing of Automotive and Commercial vehicle systems etc.

• Solid understanding of Cybersecurity standards related to Cyber physical systems and designing solutions in compliance to various such standards.

• Experience in program management to drive cybersecurity efforts across projects.

• Well-versed with the Cybersecurity threats applicable to vehicles. Proven abilities in conducting Threat Modeling and Risk Assessments (TARA), defining Security requirements for the products being designed.

• Experienced in developing Cybersecurity Concept to meet the Security requirements applicable for the products.

• Solid understanding of Cybersecurity concepts like Cryptography, Secure boot, Secure firmware upgrade, Cryptographic Code signing, Hardware based security etc.

• Preferred differentiators –

• Understanding of automotive standards and methodologies like AUTOSAR, EVITA, TARA etc.

• Understanding of Automotive protocols like CAN, XCP, LIN, UDS, Automotive Ethernet.

• Solid understanding of implementing PKI, FOTA, Hardware security measures in Cyber physical systems

• Good to have – Experience in embedded Automotive software guidelines (e.g. MISRA C, CERT C)

• Good to have – Cybersecurity Certification like CISSP, OSCP etc.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills”

• Proven abilities of handling projects in International, multi-cultural environments.

• Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams (legal, IT, product management, project management)

• Strong communication skills with proven abilities to present to Eaton’s engineering and business leadership.

• Pragmatic mindset and customer-oriented attitude.

• Ability to coach and train developers, Penetration testers on Automotive Security.

• Stong analytical skills and target-oriented, action-oriented execution.
