Your essential responsibilities include:

Engineer the Air Compressor products which include – Mechanical and Electrical driven Air compressors for Automobiles & Industrial applications

Define technical proposals/Concepts based on external and Internal customers which meet performance, durability & NVH requirements.

Drive NPI & Current Product Engineering milestones, interact with Stakeholders, build DFMEA/Risk Matrix, DVP to ensure solution robustness

Conduct design feasibility studies, perform detailed engineering calculations, design components, coordinate with analysis teams (FEA, MBD, 1D simulation) to verify and improvise design

Create & release engineering drawings with relevant GD&T & stack-up calculations, Sound Knowledge of PROE, and ENOVIA is a must.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams – manufacturing, test lab, simulation, etc. to mature the design /failure cause investigation /Validation

Work with Eaton production plants and suppliers to understand current production issues, evaluate the risk, propose new design solutions, and validate and implement it into production.

Engineering Risk assessment, developing validation plans, working with plant/suppliers to build the parts & test for required operating conditions. Summarize the result into Engineering report.

Strong understanding of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) & Product development Life Cycle

Conduct design reviews, present technical studies, and findings to the Chief engineer of the product line for approvals

Conduct & drive manufacturing review (MFR) & supplier feasibility review (DSFR) for prototype & production-worthy prints. Facilitate and review manufacturing process capability & support PPAP submission

Strong presentation, communication & leadership skills needed to drive the technical decision /conclusions

Qualifications

B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech

B.E : 6-8 yrs. / M.Tech : 3-5 yrs. Exp ,in R&D &/or Engineering Organization

Strong fundamentals on Strength of Material, Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Management.

Air Compressor, Rotating System Engineering Experience

Experience with Engg dwgs, GD&T & CAD (Cero/CATIA/UG)

Exposure of Product life cycle -Concept, Design, Validation, Launch.

Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel & PowerPoint)
