Job Title: Project Engineer

About the Job:

You will be working for the Product Engineering function of Edlocus as a “Project Engineer”. Product engineering business of Edlocus supports the internal Product development projects, customer product development projects with in-house talents. We also deploy our resources on customer projects. You will work with talented engineers with excellent office culture.

Responsibilities of the Job:

· Prepare Project reports, maintain documents, Update daily status to Project Manager periodically.

· Conduct review meetings with Project teams and provide daily/weekly/monthly updates.

· Prepare Project planning, cost estimation, quality metrics for the new projects.

· Ensure all the Projects meet QCD(Quality, Cost, Delivery) targets.

· Prepare Risk plan, contingency plan for the project execution

· Support for the development of New Software Applications for the Manufacturing Engineering Services tasks

· Prepare budgets and support for the initiation of RFQ process with the procurement team

· Support Vendors for Invoice approvals, purchase contract extension.

Required skills & knowledge:

· Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and Written.

· Should be having delivery oriented mindset not a time bound resource

· Should have Project Management core activities like Planning, initiation, Execution, Monitoring & Control and Project closing

· Very Good knowledge on Manufacturing Planning, Production planning of Automobile vehicle manufacturing process

· Able to co-ordinate with Cross Functional teams for multiple projects follow up and provide daily updates to Program Manager

· Able to prepare Project reports on daily basis and conduct team meetings

· Able to prepare GANTT charts

· Resource from Manufacturing Engineering Services background has an added advantage

· Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced manufacturing engineering department

· Knowledge on IT Scripts, manual testing, UAT testing is advantage

· Candidate should have passion to work for Industry 4.0 Projects

Qualification:

Bachelors in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Automobile/Production/Manufacturing/Automotive Electronics/Automotive Technology/Automotive Engineering with 0 to 2 years of work experience.

Any Project Management Certification is advantageous but not mandatory

Work Location:

Your primary work location will be at our Customer office at Oragadam, Chennai. Customer: Automobile OEM

Timings:

Your job timings will be on General shifts. Whenever required, you may need to work for the task delivery (Shifts may be applicable based on Project requirements)

Travel:

You will travel to our OEM customer locations whenever required. Transport and Food will be provided by our customer
