The Indian EdTech industry is expected to be more policy friendly in the upcoming years due to rising government interest. The National Education Policy 2020 emphasized the importance of leveraging technology in education solutions and supported creation of leaning content in regional languages, calling it a high priority.

CONTEXT OF THE ROLE:

Edufront is an Ed Tech start-up soaring to scale new heights expanding and gaining market by aggressive strategies and creating value throughout the value chain.

The Government Relations and Partnerships Officer will be based full-time in Delhi or Mumbai, and shall be working collaborating with senior government policymakers and leaders within the development community to shape India’s efforts to improve education. The Officer will act as catalyst and driving force for implementation of a school digitization program, using experience in advocacy and technical expertise to encourage educational sceptics, solve problems at the institutional level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build network and relationships with PMO, Ministers and Diplomats in India.
• Ability to get meetings with the Bureaucrats and Diplomats to pitch our product.
• Develop strategy to reach out to key Bureaucrats and Diplomats to pitch our product.
• Conduct landscaping and a database of various ministers, Bureaucrats and Diplomats in Education sector.
• Build, coordinate and maintain partnerships with multiple stakeholders, including members of the education community, academia, civil society, government, and the private sector
• Use technical expertise and knowledge of government to develop evidence-based resources outlining the benefits of digitization for state governments, encouraging a mandate
• Clearly communicate digitization and its benefits to government officials, making a bespoke case for the particular state – Support and guide government officials in favour to communicate the importance of digitization of education among fellow policymakers
• Coordinate activities between government institutions and other stakeholders to catalyze progress
• Institutionalize regular program monitoring and reporting
• Travel to customer facilities as necessary for implementations.
• Required to create SOP for the department and create with key metrics for success of the department.
• Any other task as shared by management from time to time.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Any Graduate / Post Graduate or higher degree in, Process improvement, Implementation, or Technology, or in a field relevant.
• Well networked with Government agencies, Bureaucrats and Diplomats Relevant experience in government or advocacy, preferably in EDUCATION.
• Proactive with strong entrepreneurial tendencies, including resourcefulness, ability to multitask, and ability to independently structure one’s own work
• Proven skills in diplomacy and experience building and maintaining relationships – Confident, humble, charismatic, and diligent. Excellent attention to both details and results – Proven ability to manage projects and to work under pressure
• Good proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
• Fluency in Hindi and/ or Marathi and excellent command of English

Job Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

Salary: ₹1,000,000.00 – ₹2,500,000.00 per year
