eJam Hiring for Backend Developer – Javascript at Mumbai, India Full Time

eJam is looking for expert SENIOR backend software engineers (NodeJS) to hit the ground running and take our exciting e-commerce software products to the next level, as we scale and develop our business in the global markets.

Your primary focus will be on building exciting new products, libraries and APIs. Your goal should be to make our marketing technology as seamless and robust as possible, while building a dynamic and scalable system. If you are a master of Javascript (especially NodeJS), this role is for you.

Your Responsibilities Will Be :

• Coding and designing backend systems and APIs using NodeJS

• Building reusable cross-platform components and backend libraries for future use

• Translating requirements, architectural designs, and specs into high-quality code

• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

• Working with the Ejam team on new e-commerce projects, from initial business development and discovery phases through implementation and deployment of the completed project

• Maintaining and enhancing existing e-commerce websites and technologies, while adhering to best practices

• Playing a significant role in the requirements gathering, working with Marketing, Design and Product Management by providing technical suggestions

• Partaking in Sprint planning calls and providing technical input (approach, estimate)

• Performing code reviews before deployments and communicating technical reviews/feedback to engineers in a positive manner

• Understanding and upholding current design and architecture patterns and principles

• Working with the team to deliver business needs in the fastest possible timeframe without incurring significant-tech debt

  This Role Is For You If:

• You have a minimum of 4 years of total work experience (internships don’t count)

• You are an expert Javascript developer with significant experience in NodeJS

• You have been using Node with Express.js on the server side

• You have experience with MongoDB (preferably with Mongoose)

• You have demonstrated experience in delivering consumer-facing tech products

• You have the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and reusable code

• You have built products from scratch and managed end-to-end development as a backend developer

• The products you have built have been used in production at large volume

• You have experience with building and consuming APIs

• You can build products with minimal external help, assuming an understanding of the system

• You have working experience with the e-commerce development process, and the ability to create solutions for common questions/concerns on this type of platform

• You are comfortable researching and adopting new web technologies

• You have e xperience as a developer in an Agile/SCRUM environment

• You have a strong commitment to excellence in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit will be key to your success in this role

• Experience in eCommerce/adTech is preferred, but not necessary
