Elchemy Hiring for International Sales Specialist (Chemicals) at Mumbai Full Time

About the Company:Elchemy is a tech-enabled chemicals distribution company solving supply chain challenges by taking a software-first approach. It was founded in the latter half of  2021 in the backdrop of global supply chain shocks induced due to the pandemic making the opportunity ripe for disruption. The founders of the company are alumni of IIT-B, IIT-D, and IIM-A, and have previously worked at places like Amazon, Samsung, P&G, and SRF. Within just 2 months of launch, the company secured $2M in pre-seed funding from marquee VCs and angel investors, including promoters of some of the  publicly listed chemical companies.Roles and Responsibilities:Promote sales growth; proactively identify and execute new business opportunities for Elchemy’s products & services for global marketsDevelop and execute sales strategy in line with business objectivesLeverage existing experience in chemical sales to establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of chemical products, their applications, and technical know-how to meet customer needsStay up to date with market trends, competitive landscape and industry developments; analyse market data to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market changesNegotiate long-term contracts with (& act as an advisor to) key accountsDevelop insights and take data driven decisionsSkills and Qualifications:5+ years’ experience in chemical sales with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Knowledge of various chemicals and their applications is a mustStrong business acumen with the knowledge of chemical industryStrong analytical skills and problem solving skills to proactively identify challenges and propose solutionsShould have ability to engage with C-level executives & decision-makersShould have an excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPointAn educational background in international business or an MBA from a reputed university or a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or similar is highly preferredShould have an ability to thrive in a high-energy start up environment, adapt to changes and have a strong bias for actionShould have an entrepreneurial bent of mind, good network, can commit & take ownership; should have high EQ
