Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Machinist to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role , you will be primarily responsible for performing a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department ensuring timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. This position will be based in Ghatkopar West in Mumbai

Responsibilities:

• Uses cutting equipment to prepare specimens for testing as dictated in customer specifications
• Design, set-up and perform a variety of machining tasks according to customer specifications and requirements with minimal supervision and technical input from the Department Manager / Supervisor
• Mentor and train machinists who have less experience through effective communication of machining process and technical data
• Transfer technical knowledge of machining procedures/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer expectations
• Maintain equipment and schedule preventative maintenance
• Gathers and records dimensions in accordance with quality assurance requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety along with HS diploma or ITI
• Possess 2-4 years of experience in a machining shop environment
• In-depth understanding of specimen preparation related to machining concepts, measuring instruments and dimensional concepts
• Strong computer skills with ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
• Able to exert moderate physical force required for lifting 50 lbs. on occasion and able to stand on feet for long periods of time
