DescriptionReporting to VP & MD, Commercial & Residential Solutions, with dotted line reporting to VP Asia Procurement, you will be responsibleforproviding leadership to the procurement/supply chain function and implementing strategic operational goals for improving productivity, reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of the function.Responsibilities Develop and implement an organization-wide integrated supply chain strategy to facilitate the cost-effective flow of materials Lead, direct, and control all supply and logistics policies, procedures, and activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, quality and cost-effectiveness of the organization’s supply chain Formulate, set target, and lead annual procurement cost improve program through supplier strategies, negotiation and best cost suppliers/localization in procurement to improve supply chain performance Establish targets in areas such as transit and delivery times; inventory levels; purchasing, warehousing, and storage costs; service standards and monitor the performance of all supply and logistics activities against these goals Negotiate, maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate relationships and contracts with suppliers Ensure the organization has a reliable supply of materials and services that meet its standards of quality, timeliness and cost Proactively work with production, scheduling and production planning functions to ensure supply and logistics strategies are integrated with other parts of the business and aligned with the overall business objectives. Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities Develop, implement and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance Prepare the annual Purchasing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensure compliance with customer and legal requirements Advance sourcing practices to create a competitive advantage in cost, product performance, service fulfilment performance, and working capital. Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop team to ensure that the organization’s supply chain strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to established guidelines and budgets.Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering A management degree in the supply chain is desirable with 16 – 20 years of relevant experience Must be techno commercially sound Knowledge of ERP System is a must.
