Emerson Hiring for Associate Engineer – Product Design at PUNE, India Full Time

• Must :

• Proficiency in Solid Edge (part modelling, assembly, 2D drafting)

• Strong working knowledge of design of mechanical systems and components.

• Hands-on experience on engineering calculations

• Experience in preparing Customer Approval & Manufacturing drawings, complete bill of material.

• Hands experience on GD & T and Tolerance stack-up.

• Good understanding on engineering materials, castings, weld design, fabrication, Sheetmetal and standard manufacturing processes

• Proactiveness to identify and implement incremental improvements in day-to-day engineering tasks.

• Good understanding of MS office tools like Excel, word and other collaboration tools.

• Desired :

• Exposure to manufacturing technologies like casting, machining, fabrication is desired.

• Any experience on mechanical testing will be added advantage

• Experience on Team Centre and Oracle preferred

• Understanding of ASTM, ASME, API, ANSI, ISO standards

• Experience in documentation for certifications (e.g. PED)

• Experience in making excel automations / macros

• Basic understanding of engineering simulation software (e.g. ANSYS) is an added advantage

• Experience on working on Creo added advantage

Primary Responsibilities:

• The position will get work direction from Team leader at EIC-P, Pune and will interact with various global contacts to carry the job function.

• The key responsibility / expectation from this position will be to support product engineering initiatives and support cross functional departments remotely.

• The position will be required to perform design calculations, create and update manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials.

• The position will also participate in new product development / product design and cost reduction activities.
