As a Senior Data Engineer in Enquero’s Data Engineering unit you will be part of a fast-paced team designing, developing, testing, integrating and supporting technically innovative solutions for our Fortune 500 customers. You will leverage your wide range of experiences, developed professional concepts as well as understanding of the industry, customer and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative ways. This job will start your journey as a leader within the organization.   

We expect your passion for technologies and your ability to work on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review or relevant factors. you will be responsible for leading the development/testing of applications, which may include end-to-end ownership of software stack.  Your demonstrated ability to consistently achieve this while building and leading effective teams and diversifying your own knowledge in the areas broader than your programs/assignments will define success in this role.

• Contributing to your BU/Practice by

• Documenting your learnings from the current work and engaging in the external tech community by writing blogs, contributing in Github, Stack overflow, meet-ups/conferences etc.

• Keep updated on the latest technologies with technology trainings and certifications 

• Actively participate in organization level activities and events related to learning, formal training, interviewing, special projects etc.

REQUIRED:

• Responsible for activities related to building and maintaining the data catalog.

• Work with team on client engagements that could be delivered from the offices.

• Ability to think through and assess risks independently and effectively communicate issues.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to effectively participate in walkthrough meetings with other members of the team.

• Able to effectively participate in meetings with business and application team to understand data models, policies applicable on the data source, PII identification

• Prepare and maintain required documentation for reference purposes.

• Prioritize, plan, and handle multiple tasks effectively.

• Ensure to complete the assigned development tasks within deadlines.

• Demonstrate appetite for learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• E./Master’s in Computer Science, Information systems, or Computer engineering, Systems Engineering

• Strong experience of 3-5 years working in a data governance, data management, or data quality program.

• Strong experience of 2-3 years working in Alation Data Governance tool or other Metadata Management tool like Collibra, Informatica EDC/AXON, etc., building data catalog, data lineage, developing workflows.

• Solid experience in SQL Querying, data analysis and understanding of data modelling.

• Good to have – experience of working on usage of Alation API’s and Python scripting development.

• Good to have – data warehouse implementation experience.

• Good to have – experience of working with other tools like Cognos, Looker, Tableau, Snowflake, etc.

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately across teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong experience in working with Alation Data Governance tool including full data lineage, source to target mappings, business rules and definitions.

• Understands documentation of data mapping and translation rules.

• Experience in Alation Integrations with 3rd party tools like Cognos, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.

• Experience in developing/customizing and deploying Alation workflows, usage of Alation API’s, working with UNIX shell commands.

• Should possess good understanding of Data Governance processes.

• Fair understanding of PII data identification, privacy laws like CCPA, CPRA, etc.

• Fair understanding of Customer/Supplier/Product Domain.

Desirable: Alation Data Governance-certified.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
