Job description:
Compliance: It is the responsibility of the EXIM Manager to make sure that all the procedures are carried out in compliance with the laws of own country and the foreign country involved. He is supposed to have a thorough knowledge of Customs and Border Protection rules. He must ensure that Export Administration Regulations are followed to avoid Shipment delays and costly penalties.
Ensure 100% compliance with legal requirements & custom regulations.
Represent Epiroc to custom / DGFT.
Liasioning with custom / DGFT / other Govt. authorities.
Regular updates on custom / DGFT circulars & notifications.
Monitor & ensure various registrations like IEC, RCMC, EIA, REX, chamber of commerce.
Well verse with FTP & it’s provision.
Shipping Arrangements: RFQ to different service providers for annual agreements (Forwarder, CHA, Transporter etc.) and Preparation of rate comparison statement for quote received & analysis. Negotiation & finalization of rates to establish yearly service level agreements.
Handling Adhoc inquiries for destinations not included in annual agreement
Monitor actual performance vs agreed targets (cost, delivery time, damage rate etc.)
Coordinate with shipment with PC sourcing team, Suppliers, Forwarders, CHA to ensure timely dispatch & arrival consignment
Ensure products are delivered in a timely, accurate, cost-efficient and damage free manner
Ensure accurate freight charging and internal reporting
Supplier rejection return & re-export under section 74
Preparation of cost sheet, liaising with EIA authorities for physical verification of product to obtain Preferential Certificate of Origin under various treaties.
Monitor & ensure to reply / closing of CL / SCN
Support PC team for various licenses requirement for special item imports (WPC, BIS, Type approval etc.)
Support for temporary /Job work import like customer own trucks for Drill rigs.
Streamline clearance process in order to minimize the cost and clearance lead time.
Registered & monitor effective use of licenses for import clearance.
IMS reporting and Audits.
Monitor & report license utilization.
Mentoring & developing team member to grow.
Ensure correct classification of items for duty calculation as per rules.
Co-ordinate with finance to arrange Bank guaranty & Bond.
Provide provision for freight.
Verification of service provider bills & processing for payments.
Handling Field return / second hand equipment imports on case to case.
Monthly MIS.
Experience requirements:
The person should have 10 to 15 years of experience in in-bound and outbound logistics / supply chain.
Knowledge requirements:
Through experience & knowledge of all EXIM related Operational processes.
S/he should have good exposure to ERP system (BPCS/ M3 / SAP).
Good understanding / knowledge of FTP and custom rules & regulations, RBI rules, SCN / CN compliance, consignments insurance, ports & shipping process.
Handling Adhoc inquiries for global destinations.
Knowledge of taxes and other legal rules.
Expert in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Power point etc.).
Educational requirements:
Post Graduate in Commerce; Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
Personality requirements:
Dynamic person who will work as a team leader with good managerial skill.
Highly customer oriented and pro-active.
Having analytical and methodical approach.
Good communicator, Negotiator and self-motivated.
Strong analytical and problem solving capability.
