Job Description
This is a remote position.
An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing online education company. Etutorworld provides personal 1-on-1 live online tutoring in Math, Science and English to K-12 school students worldwide. Etutorworld is a Bangalore based company with a 60+ member team and a vibrant open work culture. This is a night shift position since most of the students are in the USA. Work timings will be for 7 hours, six nights (42 hours) a week, as follows (could change as per business needs): November-March: 03.30 – 10.30am Indian time (Mon-Sat, weekly off on Sunday) April-October: 02.30 – 09.30am Indian time (Mon-Sat, weekly off on Sunday) Candidate will work from home, no office travel. They can be anywhere in India. They must have a good laptop, fast reliable internet connection and UPS for power backup at home.
1. Handle sales and support customer inquiries via inbound calls, SMS, live chat, email
2. Outbound follow up calls for inquiries received (no cold calling)
3. Proactively initiate chat with website visitors
4. Take short demo sessions for new students and parents
5. Assist and advise students and parents in buying eTutorWorld learning packages
6. Assist students in session joining, scheduling, rescheduling or cancellation
7. Coordinate with tutors for sessions scheduled or cancelled at short notice
8. Coordinate with technical support team if any issues faced by students or tutors
9. Compliance with service level standards, and maintaining accurate call records
10. Update LMS and CRM system information as per student and tutor discussions
Requirements
1. Must be a graduate in any discipline
2. Minimum two years of experience in online sales and customer service
3. Exposure to international customers
4. Excellent written and spoken English
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
6. Good at multi-tasking, handling chat, email, phone calls and computer systems
7. Ability to understand and engage with customers, respond quickly and appropriately
Compensation and contract Initial 6 months on contract with attractive fixed monthly compensation based on candidate qualifications and experience After 6 months, subject to satisfactory performance, employee status will be offered with benefits such as PF, Gratuity, target-based sales incentive, and paid leave
