Evertz Microsystems Limited Hiring for QA Systems Engineer (Manual test case writer) at Bengaluru, India Full Time

As a part of the R&D department, you would be challenged with writing test cases in English that can be executed by a manual tester. These will be written for various pieces of broadcasting software, which incorporates the most advanced components and technology in the industry.

The successful candidate will build knowledge, experience and gain exposure to the test cases of various systems. The individual selected should be self-motivated and enjoy a fast-paced environment that places a very high emphasis on teamwork. The candidate must possess an ability to coordinate with peers while working remotely and must be able to work on their own with minimal supervision and meet deadlines on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and maintain the existing QA test suite.

• Work with development and product specialists to determine how a specified feature of an application works, without having any documentation on the application.

• Without help, determine the tests that need to be run to test the feature completely.

• Without help, determine the test coverage of the feature.

• Without help, perform manual testing of the feature.

• Report bugs found in an online ticketing system, to a high standard.

• Without help, write test cases to record all the steps of every manual test for the feature.

• Read the steps of existing manual tests and execute them.

• Work with development to increase manual test coverage across the suite of test cases.

• Interact with development to test bug fixes.

• Perform overall quality control of QA work (Peer reviews).

  SKILLS:

• 2 years’ experience in writing manual test cases.

• Experience in determining test coverage.

• Experience in reviewing manual test cases.

• Strong English writing abilities.

• Strong verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Strong decision-making ability.

• Willingness to learn a huge system with hardware and software interactions and no documentation.

• Take initiative to learn the systems being tested and expand the testing done by the testing team.
