What You’ll Be Doing:

Position – Team Lead – Data Engineering (Risk Analytics)

Essential functions

The Data Engineering lead will have the opportunity to lead a team, shape team culture and operating norms because of the fast-paced nature of a new, high-growth organization.

· 6+ years of Industry experience as a data engineer 1+ years of leading a Data engineers team

· Leads updates to existing codebases written in NodeJS, Python and MongoDB stack

· Pioneers future enhancements to continually improve product, including back-end, and infrastructure enhancements

· Work in an agile, collaborate environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our customers

· Create highly-scalable applications running on cloud services (Azure) with high degree of performance, security and stability

· Work with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, MongoDB), operating systems (Linux, Windows), and modern frameworks including MEAN stack (MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS or ReactJS, Node.js)

· Apply expert software engineering and cloud skills to build products, improve automation, and improve user experiences leveraging structured and unstructured data

· Work closely and collaborate with Data Engineers, Machine Learning engineers, IT teams, cloud infrastructure teams and Business stakeholders spread out across various locations in US and India to achieve business goals

· Provide mentoring to other Data Engineers

· Strong programming experience including understanding of concepts in data structures, algorithms, compression techniques, high performance computing, distributed computing, and various computer architecture

· Experience with developing and deploying products in production with experience in two or more of the following languages (Python, C++, Java, Scala)

· Strong Unix/Linux background and experience with at least one of the following cloud vendors like AWS, Azure, and Google for 2+ years

· Understanding business use cases and be able to translate them to team with a vision on how to implement

· Identify enhancements and build best practices that can help to improve the productivity of the team.

Nice to Have

· US Healthcare background

· Participation in open-source community projects

· A Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related technical field is preferred with a strong academic background and industry experience

Academic Qualification

· Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or electrical engineering
