Roles and Responsibility

Job description

Administer Windows Server 2003, 2003R2, 2008, 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2, 2016, 2019.Manage AD, DNS, DHCP and file services, RDS/Terminal Services & IISResponsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware-related issues by coordinating with Datacentre engineers.Responsible for Application and DB servers migration from on premise to AWS cloudProactively managing the environment to prevent incidents from occurring.Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirements.Provide security compliance under relevant security policies.Troubleshoot, analyse logs and provide RCA for critical issues in VMware and Windows infrastructure.Perform Health check of Windows environment.Responsible for managing Anti-virus platform upgrades and updates.Responsible for applying security patches to windows servers using WSUS & SCCM tools.Responsible for building & hardening windows servers.Manage & maintain permissions on File servers & NAS shares.Experience in writing PowerShell scripts to automate tasksExperience with AWS service like, EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, cloudwatch and AWS migration services(SMS, DMS)
Key Skills/ Knowledge: (Required)

3-5 years of experience in administration of VMware ESXi & vCenter servers of version 5.1, 5.5 and 6.0, 7.0Flexible for 24×7 operationsExposure on performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure.Experience in VMotion and VMware virtual centre.Good hands-on command line of ESX.Hands on experience for on premise to cloud migrations.Good hands-on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment.Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers’ resources between virtual machines.Experience in writing PowerShell scripts to automate tasks.Preferred candidate with AWS/Azure cloud knowledge/exposure
