Associate Content Analyst – Biosis

As an (Associate) Content Analyst in the Biosis team you will select, analyse and interpret, and summarize scientific research in support of the relevant specialty collections on Web of Science. You should have comprehensive knowledge in a life sciences subject such as biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology or genetics. Your role will require you to be target-driven and to meet defined quality standards.

We are looking for Associate Content Analysts to join our team Biosis in Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore. This is an amazing opportunity to work on (Biosis previews product). The team consists of 22 and is reporting to the Team Manager. We have a great skill set in all life sciences and we would love to speak with you if you have skills in data curation and scientific data indexing

About You

• Master’s Degree in life Science
• 0-4 year of experience in scientific data curation/indexing)
• Experience in analysing scientific research content
• Technical skills as defined for each technology area

It would be great if you also had . . .

• MSc degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotech
• Data curation, deep indexing experience, data interpretation in research articles
• Hand on experience in biotechnology, microbiology, pharmacology, molecular biology concepts to curate biology-related data from research articles

What will you be doing in this role?

• Apply biotechnology, microbiology, pharmacology, molecular biology concepts to curate biology-related data from research articles in line with editorial policies
• Achieve weekly production volumes and consistently meet quality targets
• To make positive efforts to promote personal safety and that of others by taking reasonable care at work, by carrying out the requirements of the law, or following recognized codes of practice provided or advised by management to ensure safe working practices

About the Team

Biosis team provides content to BIOSIS Previews database which covers pre-clinical and experimental research, methods and instrumentation, animal studies, and more. Includes BIOSIS indexing and enhanced MeSH disease terms from journals, meetings, books, and patents. The team has more than 20 Associate content, Content and Senior Content Analysts from Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore

Hours of Work

It is a full-time permanent role with 40 hours of production hours per week.
Time zone – IST (9 hours of work, including 1 hour break)
