About Expertia

Expertia AI is a deep tech startup in the HR tech space. We are developing the current state of the art systems to lead into the next decade of products in the HR-tech space. Expertia AI is incubated at and funded by Entrepreneur First Bangalore with Kanishk Shukla and Akshay Gugnani as its co-founders. Kanishk was earlier the co-founder of Koovs.com and Akshay has worked as an AI researcher at the Computer Science AI lab at MIT and IBM Research.

About the role

As a User Experience Designer, you will have a key role in our development cycle of new and existing products. You will be part of all phases of the design lifecycle right from idea conception to designing the interface, execution, and user testing. – Understand product specifications and user psychology – Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings – Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, low and high fidelity mockups around customer needs

You will work in a varied team of developers and will be involved in the entire development lifecycle. You will collaborate with the team of developers for implementation of our new features for our existing applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that established design standards are consistently and appropriately applied within design work
• Engage with product management, engineering, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to understand project
• Develop and present documentation, user flows, annotated wireframes, and interactive prototypes
• Leverage user testing make product improvements
• Hands on designing and creative skills
• Willingness to learn and grow with the organisation
• Understand the brief from the team and come out with out of the box ideas
• Plan and illustrate concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field of study
• 2+ years’ of experience in design
• Proficient in visual design and wireframing tools like Figma
• Well versed with computer skills Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver
• After Effects is a bonus!
