Job Title: Oracle Apps DBA

Duties & Responsibilities:
As a part of the Oracle implementation team, the candidate will be Responsible for supporting the Oracle databases and ensuring their performance, availability and security
Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
Applying patches and upgrades to latest release R12
Cloning production to test environment
Fine tuning, Space management, Data security, Schema management, Fault management, Diagnostic assessment of the Oracle Databases
Identify technical gaps in user requirements and design custom solutions to cater the user requirement
Technology Stack and Tools support for iAS, Forms, Reports and Discoverer
Routine maintenance activities, system monitoring and proactive health check on a daily basis
Manage and Configure Oracle Database RAC environment
Raising and follow up Service Requests through Oracle Metalink
Design and Develop backup and recovery procedures using RMAN and other backup tools.

Skills required:
Oracle Apps DBA and Core DBA.
Very good knowledge in Networking & troubleshooting.
Experience in Oracle Apps Administration.
Oracle RAC environment.
Knowledge in Data Guard for primary and disaster recover site.
Experience in Backup & Recovery procedures.
Experience in Unix System Administration Sun Solaris and Linux.
Experience in Upgrading Oracle Apps from 11i to R12 and Database to latest release.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or Computer Engineer.
Oracle certifications on Administration.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience

Salary: 600 to 800 Kuwaiti Dinar Per Month

Note: Immediate joiners who are willing to relocate and settle in Kuwait will be given preference.
