Job Description

We are currently seeking a Junior Digital Forensics Analyst to work for our client in the Financial Services Industry. An ideal candidate who has to recover data like documents, photos, and e-mails from computer hard drives and other data storage devices, should have the basic knowledge to retrieve and analyze data linked to a range of criminal activities.
Tasks

• Recover data from computer hard drives and other data storage devices that have been deleted, damaged, or otherwise manipulated;
• Use forensic tools and investigative methods to find specific electronic data;
• Ability to process logs to analyze access attempts or activity;
• Working knowledge of Encryption Systems;
• Analyze data and evaluate its relevance to the case under investigation;
• Document each stage of the investigation and maintain a focus on case logs, repeatability, and chain of custody;
• Present findings via written reports and orally to key stakeholders in clear and concise language;
• Case assignment and MI reporting when required;
• Basic knowledge in Risk management;

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related areas such as cyber security;
• Willingness to keep up to date with the latest forensic computing techniques, tools, and software;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• The ability to identify patterns or trends across large amounts of data;
• Excellent organizational skills to manage caseload, projects;
• Report writing skills;
• Project Management skills;
• Responsive, reactive, and proactive;
