Screen and interview candidates to ensure we put forward the best quality candidates to clients. Consult with clients on overall hiring strategies and tailor your approach accordingly Keep up-to-date with latest industry trends to ensure candidates can be evaluated against industry standard assessments Build and develop your client portfolio, providing expert consultation to ensure repeat business Generate new leads and clients using your network of contacts and formulating detailed job descriptions and posting them. Network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand and ensure we attract the best professionals Discussing and establishing qualification requirements and terms and conditions of employment with managers. Conducting phone calls or meetings to create a shortlist of qualified candidates. Interviewing candidates on the shortlist and maintaining a database on employees for future vacancies. Mediating between candidates and hiring managers and producing reports on hiring plans and strategies. Using web-based technology and social media to analyse hiring trends, post vacancies, and follow up for hiring process. Measuring the results of candidate interviews and job placements using hiring metrics software. Revising HR policies and ensuring that fair employment practices are implemented. Analysing recruitment software and the performance of recruitment agencies and recommending improvements or changes.Recruiting Specialist Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business/Communication/Psychology/or another related relevant field (Masters Preferred) 7-8 years of experience as a recruiting specialist with a track record of employee placement.Skillsets: Excellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidates. Clear verbal skills to communicate well with candidates and managers. Proficient writing skills to produce reports on hiring analyses. Leadership abilities to delegate tasks and train new employees. Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment. In-depth knowledge of hiring strategies, labour laws, and employment equity. The ability to evaluate recruiting software packages and to recommend those which are best suited to the company.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities Write and post technical job descriptions on specialist IT job boards, social media and any other relevant channels Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioural questions) Build a candidate CRM to ensure a solid pipeline of qualified candidates – ensuring candidate data is kept updated Participate in tech conferences and meetups to network with IT professionals.
