Roles and Responsibilities

• The FAS (Field Application Scientist) plays an important role in ensuring the successful utilization of the products supplied by Thermo Fisher to its customer labs.

• FAS (Field Application Scientist) is required to provide trainings on site as well as in our lab facilities, participate in pre-sales discussions, conferences, meetings, workshops.

• The Job involves a lot of travel related to the Field jobs such as Installations, training and troubleshooting, Demos, as also related to internal trainings.

• Troubleshooting and In-depth Analysis -in case of any deviations from normal data are part of the necessary skill set for FAS job profile.

• FAS (Field Application Scientist) job profile also includes remote support to users- either through phone/ webex /other digital platforms or email communications.

• Support to internal teams ( sales, Service and also other FAS) is also a necessary aspect in this role.

• The FAS (Field Application Scientist) is expected to create the necessary records for all the jobs covered – using our company’s routine tools , Software – and also provide the data necessary for CAS surveys to be sent out to customers.

• It is important for a FAS (Field Application Scientist) to be updated in the various techniques used in laboratories, in association with the main products provided by us- such as ATTUNE NXT, CYTPIX, BIGFOOT, ROTEA, CX7 , Antibodies and other Cell biology related consumables.

Requirement:

• Master in science or PhD preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience

• A good understanding of Cell Biology, Cell Analysis and biological applications supported by -FLOW Cytometry/Microscopy/ Antibodies and other related technologies that support various biological applications, in research and Molecular Diagnostics.

• Fluent in techniques such as flow cytometry, cell culture, and additional experience in imaging would be an advantage
