Job Description

Role Summary: This position is responsible for checking and approval of centrifugal pump part 3D models for manufacturing Responsibilities & Requirements: Key responsibilities

• Perform work that is varied and complex, under no or minimal supervision. Consistently apply knowledge of functional concepts and prior experience to work assignments.

• Manage design projects involving complex designs, including oversight of resources and technical issues.

• Follow established engineering standards and procedures to produce consistent and reliable

results. Refer international standards, project specifications, drafting and design practices approved by design authority and latest approved document by design authority.

• Check and approve each design for compliance to job specifications; design form, fit, and function; safety in assembly, maintenance and operation; method and ease of manufacture; method and ease of assembly; appropriate materials of construction; load and stress due to assembly, testing and operation.

• Direct the technical modification of programs and methods of solving problems and modify existing product designs to meet customer needs and to improve product life

6.. Monitor, advance and sustain performance against a set of approved KPIs; initiate and implement process improvements which continuously enhance performance and service to the customer

• Work with other Design Engineers to direct the investigation and resolution of shop floor problems relating to design or quality issues; record and report findings, make corrections and develop and implement permanent, cost effective solutions.

Preferred Experience / Skills: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 8 years of pump design and upgrade experience or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7 to 10 years of pump design and upgrade experience.

• Proficient in CAD design and

drafting, preferably Solidworks and Windchill knowledge.

• Knowledge of ASME / API/ DIN

design standards and material specifications

• Ability to create, review and directly release for manufacturing all type of pump component 3D models/drawings and BoM.

• Experience in foundry processes, pattern making and reverse engineering will be preferred.
