You will be part of the Aftermarket Procurement Team for sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East and South Asia.

Your responsibilities

Manages purchasing based on specifications and according to predefined procedures and processes to ensure delivery capability

Purchases products/items of expertise area at the right quality, characteristics and volume

Participates in the selection of suppliers by analysis and evaluation, and handles operational relations and interfaces with selected suppliers in order to build and maintain close relationships with suppliers

Monitors/Expedites the operational performance of the selected suppliers in order to ensure that FLSmidth’s capacity to deliver is stable and long term

Coordinates between the different departments within FLSmidth

Negotiates terms and conditions independently within the given framework

Supports building of strategic purchasing and sourcing competencies to engage in global initiatives as well as participate in local activities in alignment with Group Procurement

Ensures savings effectiveness through compliance to implemented global category initiatives

Prepare cost estimations

What you bring

CIPS Degree /Technical qualification in relevant area or the equivalent knowledge.

5 – 10 years relevant mining industry experience.

In-depth knowledge of procurement and global sourcing.

Solid understanding of technical drawings and specifications.

Solid commercial and financial understanding.
