Job Description
- Receive invoices: Get invoices from suppliers and enter them into the accounts payable system
- Verify invoices: Check that invoices are accurate and match purchase orders
- Record amounts owed: Record the amounts owed to suppliers in the general ledger
- Make payments: Prepare checks for payment and send them to suppliers
- Maintain records: Keep records of suppliers, including purchase orders and invoices
- Reconcile accounts: Ensure that accounts are reconciled and that payments are processed accurately and on time
- Communicate with suppliers: Respond to queries from suppliers and maintain clear communication
