Stenographer Job Duties

Stenographers have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Staying up to date with industry standards and technology by participating in continuing education courses provided by their employer
• Maintaining confidentiality of client information such as personal details or business plans
• Reporting directly to a supervisor or manager who oversees the team of stenographers
• Recording and transcribing medical, legal, business, legislative, or other specialized proceedings
• Following established protocols for communicating with other parties involved in the event such as attorneys, witnesses, or other stenographers
• Preparing transcripts of hearings, depositions, or other legal proceedings
• Reviewing audio recordings or transcripts of previous hearings to ensure that they are accurate before they are released to the public
• Providing transcripts or audio recordings of events to attorneys, judges, law enforcement agencies, or any other authorized users
• Preparing transcripts of recorded interviews or interrogations for use in legal proceedings such as trials or appeals

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹50,000.00 – ₹70,000.00 per month
