What is the Fund Administration Analyst responsible for?
Role is within the Global Fund Administration & Reporting group (“GFAR”), of Franklin Templeton Services (“FTS”) which performs oversight to the registered open and closed end mutual funds
GFAR performs oversight of fund expenses, expense ratios, budgets, certain content and disclosures included in prospectuses and shareholder reports, product analysis, board reporting related to fund expenses
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Fund Administration Analyst ?
Assist with the content production process related to shareholder reports
Responsible for requesting and reviewing certain disclosures from various internal groups (Legal, Portfolio Managers) needed in the preparation of annual and semiannual shareholder reports
Ensure required disclosures are provided to third-party funds’ administrators on a timely basis
Review and validate fund invoices pertaining to Custody, Fund Accounting, Fund Admin and TA fees through leveraging digital tools such as Xceptor or Alteryx
Assist with expense analysis and ad-hoc reports requested by Product or the SIMs (Specialized Investment Managers)
Collaborate with various internal groups to obtain, consolidate, and review disclosures and financial information needed for the annual and semiannual shareholder report updates
Ensure disclosures provided are accurate, (content and grammar) and consistent with other related financial information
Ensure required disclosures are provided to the Funds’ administrators on a timely basis
Exposure to digital tools and work closely with other teams in GFAR to create reporting and analysis to assist with the Fund expense oversight
Involved with ad-hoc analysis related to the Funds’ expenses
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
2-4 years relevant experience, Asset Management industry experience desired
Strong written and oral communication skills
Organized, self-starter able to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while quickly adapting to on-going change
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, primarily excel, word and power point
Aptitude in implementing process changes and experience working with digital tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or Xceptor
Shift Work Timings – 2:00 PM – 11:00PM IST
