What is the Global Fund Administration and Reporting group responsible for?
Role is within the Global Fund Administration & Oversight group (“GFAO”), specifically the Global Funds Expense & Budget team (“GFEB”) of Franklin Templeton Services (“FTS”) which performs oversight to the registered US and EMEA funds.
GFEB performs oversight and analysis of the Funds’ budgets, expense ratios, invoice payments, regulatory disclosures, board and internal reporting related to the expenses.
What is the Fund Administration Senior Analyst responsible for?
Oversight of fund expenses & budgets for regional and jurisdiction fund groups with exposure to a global model
Review and analyze various expense reporting, prepared by third-party administrators, for reasonableness
Focus on the creation and/or improvement of processes by utilizing digital tools to minimize risk and create efficiencies.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Fund Administration Senior Analyst?
Review and validate fund invoices pertaining to fund expenses such as Pricing services, Custody, Fund Accounting and Fund Admin fees through leveraging digital tools such as Xceptor
Review and approval certain Funds’ budgets prepared by the Funds’ administrators
Provide expense analysis, leveraging reporting provided by the Funds’ administrators, along with digital tools, such as Alteryx, for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting across US and EMEA fund ranges
Further exposure to digital tools and work closely with other teams in GFAR to build out reporting and analysis to assist with the Fund oversight. Ability to become subject matter expert in various digital tools used by GFAO
Involved with the Funds’ annual prospectus updates, reporting, and ad-hoc analysis related to the Funds’ expenses
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience
3-5 years relevant experience, Asset Management industry experience desired
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while quickly adapting to on-going change
Aptitude in implementing process changes and experience working with digital tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or Xceptor
Work Shift Timing – 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST
