About YOU:
As we look to build a strong conversational AI team, we are looking for a Back End Node.JS Developer to work on virtual assistants using both voice and chat interfaces that will be accessed by multiple channels including web, mobile applications, voice, messaging platforms. You will be responsible for converting designs into conversational experiences for clients across various verticals. You will be responsible for every aspect of software development of the product from integration with different systems, build back end services, to setting up continuous integration and deployment pipeline.
As a technical resource of the AI engineering team, you will be instrumental in building systems, interfaces, and integrations that make the product run and keep up with the speed of our growth. You will have input in decision making within the team and you will ensure we build scalable, performant, easy to maintain and cost optimized solutions. You will shine as a technical member and leader of the team, providing technical insight and guidance.
You will be a valued contributor in an autonomous, cross-functional agile team – Developing real-time services and applications in an Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing environment
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of business users, product managers, UX designers and Senior AI engineers to understand the product vision, bring the vision alive through the creation of elegant and robust solution
Support global development and QA teams in implementing conversational flows in Conversational AI platforms like Cognigy, AWS Connect/Lex, and Google DialogFlow.
Support iterative Conversational NLU/NLP design, and be able to use data to recommend improvements for multiple releases of the same.
Be able to work with clients and colleagues to define the data needed for comprehensive metrics to allow measurement of how well applications are performing
Design, develop and deploy high-quality, enterprise scale code on our AWS cloud infrastructure
Work hands-on across the entire software stack comfortably
Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics.
Take responsibility for your code and features right from working with product management all the way through to deployment and thereafter.
2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience preferably experience at a software product company.
Deep knowledge of object oriented programming and experience with Node.js
Strong experience in web API and Rest API Integration
Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
Excellent knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design and coding.
Have worked with APIs backends and serverless environments.
Strong understanding of multi-tenant and distributed software architectures – application clustering, data partitioning, event driven etc.
Good to have understanding of database technologies such as MySQL, PL/SQL and NoSQL
databases such as Mongo, Elasticsearch/Solr etc.
Experience in unit and functional testing using Mocha, Chai and other tools.
Excellent communication skills.
