DescriptionWe are hiring Data Engineers to join our Bangalore office. The role requires working across multiple client engagements involving large-scale data aggregation, transformation (ETL), modelling, pipeline automation and in depth experience with database administration, performance tuning and troubleshooting on one or more of the following: PostgreSQL, Redshift.The right candidate should have a deep understanding of the concepts, architecture, tools and the latest trends in Big Data, Data Warehousing, ETL, Databases and AWS platforms. The candidate should be hands-on with advanced SQL, HiveQL, Python, Java, Scripting, Database, and Data Pipeline Configuration.Who you are:

• Have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Have advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
• Hands-on experience in design and modelling of large-scale databases and data warehousing, including Amazon RedShift and Hadoop distributions
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.

• Have a Bachelor s degree in Technology or Engineering disciplines, preferably in Computer Science
• Experience in Python, Java, and Shell Scripting
• Experience in working with AWS platform offerings
• Should enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong verbal and written business communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

r r , RequirementsWhat you will do:

• Support and enhance GALE s data pipeline and enable its deployment and automation across clients
• Collaborates with tech, analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and data reporting capability.
• Design, develop and support scalable ETL components to aggregate and move data from a variety of structured and unstructured data sources to the data warehouse/big data platform
• Support client data pipelines and automate, control and monitor data movements and deploy appropriate control mechanisms for alerts, traceability, data validation, archival etc.
• Work closely with clients, both in the business domain and with the technical team members
