Activities contributing to the Tendering, Estimation, design and solutions of GIS / EHV substations. Includes activities linked to understanding of customer specification, preparation of tenders / technical solutions to customer, back up costing to commercial teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions for GIS product (configuration, performance estimation, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO (requisition) process while interfacing with the commercial team.

• Possesses a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies. To include ‘ITO’: Technical analysis of client need: definition and optimization of the products; scope (description); schedule; industrial scheme; cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures. Calculation of plant, system and equipment performance and efficiency.

• Documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases. This also includes OTR part where engineers work on customizing the products and implementing it for specific customer needs

• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others;

• Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical with 6 to 12 years experience in Tendering or engineering function of GIS / Electrical EHV Substations / Switchgear industry

• Knowledge on production Bill of Material and configurations required

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

• Experience on using CREO / Autocad / SAP

• Foreign Language proficiency in French / Spanish will be an added advantage
