Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for
Managing the work deliverables to meet program and business needs
Work closely with global stakeholders and develop the roadmap for MRI engineering team
Provide functional leadership to the team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement and mentoring
Responsible for resource assignment and prioritization
Instill a rigorous approach to customer centric development, software quality and common software development
Drive the team for execution excellence and to adopt modern software industry practices for optimal software machine
Collaborate with global partners and stakeholders to ensure consistent strategy and execution for business priorities
Represent engineering team on different forums and in leadership updates
Foster a culture built on GE values
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum 15 years of experience in software industry
10 + years of professional experience in software development
5+ of professional experience as software manager or program manager
Must have skills
Rich experience in Java programming, Microservices architecture, platform software development and product engineering
Good experience with modern software development practices including agile software methodologies, CI/CD, test automation and software tools
Hands-on Technical and Technology Leadership
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
Demonstrated project leadership skills and people management skills in current or previous roles
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, Ability to motivate and inspire team
Excellent interpersonal skills and influencing skills, Ability to gain buy-in for initiatives, Drive innovation culture in the team
Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes
Desired skills
Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Experience in Healthcare Software Development
