geotechnical consultants Hiring for metalliferous mines manager at Bangalore Full Time

As a Mines Manager in a building stone quarry or granite quarries, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the production of the targeted quantity and quality of the mineral, ensuring safety in the surrounding area before and after blasting, and coordinating with shift leaders and the mates to plan the number of blasts needed to meet production targets. You will also be responsible for effectively operating and maintaining machinery and equipment, including drill rigs, and optimizing the cost of blasting. In addition to these responsibilities, you will ensure the safe handling, storage, transport, and use of explosives in accordance with guidelines from the Department of Mines and Geology and DGMS. You will provide training on the safe use of machinery and safety gear, such as helmet, and follow established standard operating procedures for controlled blasting. You will be responsible for executing the plan for the development of the quarry, including the extraction of the targeted quantity and quality of building stone according to the approved mining plan. To be considered for this role, you should have a Metalliferous Certificate of Competency from DGMS, as well as in-depth technical knowledge and experience with different methods of blasting. You should also be able to work collaboratively, manage resources effectively, and have basic computer skills in programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong decision-making skills for selecting personnel and subcontractors to meet deadlines and targets are also necessary for this position.
