Are you interested in a career where you can join our purpose of uniting science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together?
GSK is a global biopharma company with a special purpose – to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. Getting ahead means preventing disease as well as treating it, and we aim to impact the health of 2.5 billion people around the world in the next 10 years.
Our success absolutely depends on our people. We want GSK to be a place where people feel inspired, encouraged and challenged to be the best they can be. A place where they can be themselves – feeling welcome, valued and included. Where they can keep growing and look after their wellbeing. So, if you share our ambition, join us at this exciting moment in our journey to get ahead together.
We’re looking for post-graduates with sharp business acumen who are willing to experience internship assignments in varied businesses of GSK Pharma. The Projects are of critical importance in delivering business objectives and have been carefully hand-picked to provide our interns the right mix of challenge and on-ground reality. As you work with different teams/leaders you’ll develop a range of essential business skills, whilst also building a deep understanding of the pharmaceuticals industry.
Develop your career with us
Upon confirmation into any of our Leadership programs, you may embark on a truly immersive 18 months rotational programme that will enable you to gain a broad and fascinating insight into our pharmaceuticals business. It will also challenge and support you to grow personally and professionally.
Each of your rotations will be spent in a different team within your local business so you’ll quickly build up a wide range of skills and experiences. Depending on your course specialization, the rotations might be in a range of different areas, including project management, data analytics, commercial excellence, human resources or supply chain.
In the sales rotation, you’ll likely work in a customer-facing role. This will give you invaluable first-hand experience of working out in the field, interacting closely with Healthcare Professionals and clinics to share important information with them about our products and to deliver excellent customer service. If you strive for high impact delivery, take responsibility and are great at building relationships, you’ll thrive in our talented sales team.
You may also get to work in a brand or customer marketing rotation. During this time, you might look at brand activity plans or help to deliver globally aligned marketing campaigns for different customer groups. You’ll also need to gather insights into customer and patient preferences and understand which factors influence overall sales. All this calls for strong analytical skills, an ability to work cross-functionally and a good understanding of our patients.
What are we looking for?
to be a motivated and proactive graduate with a talent for solving problems
open to movement and work in any part of the country
commercial awareness and business acumen – a real interest in sales-marketing and in area of your specialization
self-discipline and drive
resilience and the ability to adapt to change
the confidence and courage to take key decisions
the interpersonal skills to connect with people and influence
the ability to understand complex products of a scientific nature
We’re 100% open to all talent
We’re 100% open to all talent – whatever your gender, marital status, religion, age, colour, race, sexual orientation, nationality or disability. We want to recruit the right people for GSK from the widest possible backgrounds, so we can better serve the diversity of our patients. And also because it’s the right thing to do.
