Responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and fostering strategic partnerships within Aerospace, Defense, and Electric Vehicles (EV) industries and Freight Forwarders for cargo traffic. This role requires a strong combination of business acumen, industry knowledge, and relationship-building skills to enhance Hyderabad Airport’s position in the market.

The role aims to lead and propel business development initiatives, with a specific focus on the Aerospace, Defense, and Electric Vehicles (EV) industries. The primary objective is to significantly enhance HYD’s presence and influence in these sectors, striving to establish the airport as a key player. This aligns with our broader mission of achieving revenue targets and positioning the airport as a preferred hub for specialized cargo services in Aerospace, Defense, and EV in addition to being market leader for Pharma.

Accountabilities

Responsible for increasing the Cargo Tonnage Traffic of Aerospace, Defense & EV Shippers and Consignees

Development of new catchment areas for cargo growth

Fostering Strategic Partnerships

Increase customer base at RGIA by collaborating with airlines, freight forwarders, shippers, trade agencies, and other stakeholders in the Aerospace, Defense, and EV sectors.

Work closely with government agencies and industry bodies relevant to Aerospace, Defense, and EV to identify and create new facilities to enhance the cargo business.

Formulate strategies for second-line logistic activities, including warehousing, bonded warehousing, cold storage, etc., specific to Aerospace, Defense, and EV.

Support in preparing Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monitor performance parameters while establishing operational control measures at GHIAL to achieve revenue targets specific to Aerospace, Defense, and EV.

Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in Aerospace, Defense, and EV sectors.

Initiate and manage excellent relationships with stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, customs officials, airlines, Cargo Terminal Operators (CTOs), logistics, and trading communities in the Aerospace, Defense, and EV sectors.

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• External – Roles outside the organization include interactions with airlines, freight forwarders, shippers, government agencies, and other stakeholders in the Aerospace, Defense, and EV industries.

INTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Internal – Roles within the organization include interactions with the Head – Cargo Commercial and cross-functional departments.

Education Qualifications

• Commerce Science Graduate/Engineer with MBA International Business/Mktg (preferred)

Relevant Experience

7-8 years of total experience with 3-4 years of experience in Sales/Strategy function in an Logistics/Express company
